This course helps you manage your personal money better so that your business and family life are more stable. It is designed for employees, small business owners and households who want to stop living from hand to mouth and start planning for the future.
You begin by understanding your current money situation. You list all sources of income and all regular expenses, including those small daily items that often get forgotten. The instructor helps you see patterns and identify where money is being wasted.
Next, you learn how to design a simple monthly budget that is realistic for your life. You cover categories such as food, transport, rent, school fees, giving, debt payments, savings and emergency funds. You practise using envelopes, mobile money wallets or basic spreadsheets to follow your plan.
There is also a section on debt: good debt versus bad debt, how interest works and strategies for getting out of high-cost debt such as informal loans or credit abuse. You are shown how to prioritise which debts to pay first and how to avoid falling into the same trap again.
Finally, you learn about building savings and small investments. This includes using savings groups, fixed deposits, insurance, and investing in your own skills or small side businesses. The course emphasises decision making, discipline and family communication around money.
By the end, you will not be “rich overnight,” but you will have a clear view of your finances and a practical plan to move towards stability and growth month by month.
